3D Modeling tool (Part 1)

There must be a few tools in the world to produce 3 dimensional models not only on the computer screen but also physically in your hands. However, it seems to me that the rapid-prototyping system, Projection Modeler is exceptionally unreal. Out of so many applications in the business field, the technology, which consists of the newly developed 3-D modelling software and hardware, give us some fan. The modified technology provides you with a capability to get a miniaturised 3-D copy of your own bust. What you have to do is to sit in a special booth for a few second, just as taking your photo in the booth. You'll get a 7-inch-height bust of your own, together with tinny dolls of your self if you wish. Autofact Inc., a Japanese software company jointly worked to develop the 3-D modeller with the hardware manufacturer.

It is a full-featured 5 Megapixel digital camera with a built-in full color ZINK (trademark) priner that is powered by ZINK Imaging Inc's printing technology. The new product has been born by the marrige of the two technologies of digital camera and printer. It allows you to capture, view, and immediately print their images without ink, anywhere. Intelligent humanoid robot that can learn and make decision by itself

This reminds me of the famous movie film screened more than 40 years ago. HAL was the name of computer that kicked out people from the space ship because it learnt the people's minds from their lips that they had questions on HAL's loyalty. Growing with further development of hardware and software capabilities, this humanoid robot may have the capability that controls real humans. I hope it will not come true and real even in the future space where highly intelligent humanoid robots will have to have strict limitation not to control humans. 8/24/11
